Offset Steps Up for Drake After T-Pain Throws Shade on Podcast

Offset has stepped up to defend Drake against his critics in a heated Instagram comment exchange.

The former Migos rapper stayed quiet during Drake’s recent feud with Kendrick Lamar. But now he’s speaking out against other artists who have criticized the Canadian superstar.

    Offset’s Defense

Offset wrote on Instagram: “Da Boy is da boy shit ain’t gone change. All dat hating on another grown man who do more numbers than everybody is Diabolical !!!!”

His comment appears to target T-Pain, who has been criticizing Drake recently.

    T-Pain’s Criticism

T-Pain made comments about Drake on the Crash Dummies podcast. He said Drake once told him about wanting to “gracefully bow out” of the music industry instead of getting “kicked out.”

T-Pain claimed Drake isn’t following his own advice. He described Drake’s approach as constantly releasing new music and asking fans to give each song another chance.

“Drake is like, ‘No, listen. OK, I got another one. Hold on, check this out. Y’all ain’t like that one? OK, real quick, just one more,'” T-Pain said.

    Drake Responds

Drake saw T-Pain’s comments and fired back on Instagram.

“This guy always had resentment for me,” Drake wrote with a laughing emoji. “You can hear it every time he speaks on my name.”

    The Album Controversy

T-Pain also criticized Drake’s recent collaboration with PartyNextDoor. The album “omeomeexy $ongs 4 U” contains leftover songs from other projects, according to T-Pain.

He suggested Drake gave PartyNextDoor unused tracks and said, “Put verses on these songs.” T-Pain believes many songs on the album didn’t make it onto Drake’s previous albums.

“I’m not saying that they’re bad. These are just songs that didn’t make albums,” T-Pain explained.

The exchange shows tensions between Drake and some fellow artists continue to grow, with supporters like Offset jumping to his defense.
