Nothing Phone (4a) Pro Arrives With New Glyph Bar And Upgraded Cameras

Nothing has officially launched the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro alongside the standard Phone (4a) at a global event in London on March 5, 2026.

The Phone (4a) Pro brings a big design change. It drops the brand’s famous transparent back and introduces a full-metal unibody. Nothing says it is the thinnest full-metal phone on the market at just 7.95mm thick. The device comes in black, silver and pink.

One of the biggest upgrades is the new Glyph Bar. The redesigned LED lighting system is now built into a window around the camera module. It shows notifications, animations and creative effects. This feature helps the Pro model stand out from the base Phone (4a).

The Pro version is aimed at creators. It features a brighter display, improved camera hardware and stronger video performance. Nothing says the phone delivers a more flagship-like experience compared to the standard model. It runs on Nothing OS, based on the latest version of Android, offering a clean and customizable interface.

Pricing starts at £499 / $499 / €479 for the base 8GB + 128GB model. This puts it in direct competition with devices like the Pixel A-series from Google. Pre-orders are now open through nothing.tech and selected retail partners. Open sales begin on March 27, while the standard Phone (4a) goes on sale earlier on March 13.

Nothing has decided not to release a flagship Phone 4 in 2026. That makes the (4a) Pro its top-tier device this year. Early hands-on reactions praise the premium metal build and fresh design, but full reviews are still expected.
