The Nothing Phone (3) is officially here, marking the company’s first flagship device since 2023. Priced at $799, it’s the most expensive Nothing phone yet. Here’s everything you need to know about this new release.

    Key Features and Specifications

Nothing labels the Phone (3) as a “true flagship.” It runs on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor with options for 12GB or 16GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of storage.

The phone sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2800×1260, which Nothing calls “1.5K.” The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate and reaches up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness. It’s protected by Gorilla Glass 7i on the front and Victus on the back.

The device packs a 5,150 mAh battery (5,500 mAh in India) with silicon-carbide technology. It supports 65W fast charging via USB-C and 15W wireless charging. Running on Android 15 with Nothing OS 3.5, the phone promises 5 years of major Android updates and 7 years of security updates.

    Introducing the ‘Glyph Matrix’

A standout feature is the new “Glyph Matrix” on the back of the phone. This dot matrix display replaces the traditional lighting of earlier Nothing phones. It can show information like the time and offers interactive “Toys” such as a spin-the-bottle game.

Developers can create their own “Toys,” and Nothing has already released community-made apps like Magic 8 Ball and Leveler. A Caller ID feature for the Glyph Matrix is also expected soon. Users can interact with it via a touch-sensitive button on the back.

    Software and Camera Upgrades

Nothing OS 3.5 brings enhancements like “Flip to Record” for AI summaries of real-life recordings and a Smart Search feature that adapts based on user input.

The camera setup includes four 50MP sensors: a main rear camera, a 3x telephoto lens for macro shots, an ultrawide lens, and a front-facing camera. All support 4K video recording at 60fps.

    Pricing and Availability

The Nothing Phone (3) comes in black and white colors. It is priced at $799 in the US, €799 in Europe, and £799 in the UK. Pre-orders start on July 4, with general availability beginning July 15. You can purchase it on Nothing’s website or Amazon.
