New Spotify In-App Features to Highlight Your Listening Activity

Spotify Personalization

Spotify is ramping up its personalization efforts by rolling out new in-app messages and banners tailored to each user’s listening habits.

The streaming service will soon showcase prompts that provide insights into your recent activity, such as how many times you listened to a particular artist last month. But the messages won’t just offer data – they’ll also encourage further personalized listening.

Users may see prompts to check out an artist they frequently listen to, try Spotify’s AI DJ for similar recommendations, or explore their personalized “Daylist” playlist that updates based on their typical daily listening patterns.

While Spotify hasn’t specified timing or frequency for the new personalized messaging, the move doubles down on the platform’s core strategy of customizing experiences to keep users engaged.

With personalization increasingly critical for streaming services, Spotify is betting that putting customized prompts front and center will give it an edge over rivals in serving up finely tuned audio experiences tailored to each listener’s unique tastes.
