Microsoft is gearing up to launch mini PCs capable of running its Copilot Plus features, which will bring advanced AI capabilities to desktop PCs.
These mini PCs will support features like Recall, Click To Do, and AI-powered image editing, all of which require significant AI processing power.
Asus has already announced its NUC 14 Pro AI mini PC, which features a dedicated Copilot button and is designed to compete with Appleโs Mac Mini.
Geekom has also revealed three mini PCs, one powered by AMDโs Strix Point CPUs and another with Qualcommโs Snapdragon X Elite processor, both Copilot Plus compatible. These mini PCs are set to be showcased at CES next week.
While Copilot Plus features are currently limited to mini and all-in-one PCs using laptop processors, Intelโs Core Ultra desktop CPUs are expected to support these features once next-gen desktop processors with more capable NPUs arrive.
Microsoft is also looking to expand Copilot beyond just PCs, with hints of future AI-powered devices like wearables for health and image recognition.
CES 2025 promises to offer a glimpse into Microsoftโs evolving vision for AI in hardware, and it seems like the company is determined to bring Copilot to every screen we use.
