Microsoft Takes Another Swipe at Google with Latest Search Move

Microsoft has made a new move against Google by hiding its search results on Bing.

When users search for “Google,” Bing displays a “Promoted by Microsoft” search box instead of showing Google’s results.

This is part of Microsoft’s ongoing effort to compete with Google in search and browsers.

Additionally, Microsoft’s update makes it harder to find the Google Chrome download link on Bing. A large search bar now appears, pushing the link down the page.

Microsoft has also made changes to user sign-ins. Starting February 2025, users will stay logged into their accounts unless they sign out or use private browsing, raising security concerns.

While these tactics are aimed at Google’s dominance, the real challenge will come from AI changing the search landscape in the future.
