WhatsApp has rolled out a new update for iOS via the TestFlight beta program, bringing the version to 25.4.10.74.
The standout feature under development is the Meta AI widget, which will allow users to quickly access the Meta AI chatbot directly from their Home Screen.
Meta AI Widget:
The new widget is designed to enhance the user experience by providing direct shortcuts to Meta AI’s core features. It will include three key buttons:
- Instant Question: Open a chat with Meta AI immediately to ask any question.
- Send a Photo: Directly send a photo to Meta AI for analysis or editing.
- Voice Chat: Initiate a voice chat with Meta AI, enabling hands-free interactions.
This widget will make it faster and easier to interact with Meta AI without needing to search for the chat manually inside the app.
While it’s still in development, the widget is expected to be available in a future update for iOS users, aligning with a similar feature already in progress for Android.
Availability and Future Updates:
Although the feature is not yet ready for beta testers, it promises to provide a more streamlined, one-tap access to the AI features, making communication with Meta AI more efficient.
This widget will be optional, meaning users can choose whether or not to add it to their Home Screen.
