MediaTek has launched its latest smartphone chips, the Dimensity 7400 and Dimensity 7400X.
These new processors bring minor upgrades over last year’s Dimensity 7300 and 7300X, with the main change being a 100 MHz speed boost for the performance cores.
The Cortex-A78 cores now run at up to 2.6GHz, while the Cortex-A55 efficiency cores stay at 2.0GHz.
The Dimensity 7400X is designed for flip foldable devices and supports dual displays. Like the previous models, both chips use TSMC’s 4nm process and feature the Arm Mali-G615 GPU, LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage.
MediaTek has also improved gaming performance with Adaptive Gaming Technology 3.0, which balances power and battery life.
Connectivity features include a 5G modem with 3CC carrier aggregation, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.4. The Imagiq 950 ISP allows 12-bit HDR and supports cameras up to 200MP.
MediaTek confirmed that smartphones with Dimensity 7400 series chips will launch in Q1 2025.
