Mac Miller’s estate has revealed his second posthumous album, Balloonerism, with a cinematic trailer aired at Tyler, The Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival.
The trailer features CGI animation and unreleased tracks, including “The Song That Changed Everything” with SZA and “5 Dollar Pony Rides.”
The album’s abstract balloon-themed cover art was painted by Alim Smith, based on a 2018 post-Mac had commented on.
Balloonerism was recorded in 2014 before Faces, during a week of experimental creativity at Mac’s LA home.
It follows the 2020 release of Circles, Macโs companion album to Swimming, which was completed after his tragic passing in 2018. The release date is still to be confirmed.
