LG has introduced its UltraGear GX7, a cutting-edge 27-inch gaming monitor featuring a remarkable 480Hz refresh rate and ultra-fast .03-millisecond response time.

Priced at $1,000, the monitor undercuts Sony’s similar offering by $100 and boasts impressive technical specifications.

The QHD (2,560 x 1,440) OLED display supports both NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync technologies, providing smooth gaming experiences across different graphics platforms. It has received VESA’s DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification, indicating excellent color reproduction and deep black levels.

Connectivity options include HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1 inputs, though the 480Hz refresh rate will likely require display stream compression (DSC) technology. The monitor features an adjustable stand with 15 degrees of tilt and 30 degrees of swivel, enhancing ergonomic flexibility.

Unlike Sony’s competing model, LG’s monitor lacks additional pro gaming features like enemy outline drawing. However, its competitive pricing and high-performance specifications make it an attractive option for serious gamers seeking cutting-edge display technology.
