Kendrick Lamar Reignites Drake Feud With New Diss Verse

Kendrick Lamar took his ongoing feud with Drake to new heights on Wednesday night during his “Pop Out” concert in Los Angeles.

The rapper unveiled a new verse for his Drake diss track “Euphoria,” rapping “Give me Tupac’s ring back and I might give you a little respect.”

The line is a reference to Drake purchasing an estate ring once owned by the late Tupac Shakur at an auction last year. It’s the latest shot fired in the heated battle between the two hip-hop giants that erupted earlier this year.

The new “Euphoria” verse was part of Lamar’s explosive concert, which featured numerous guest appearances including Dr. Dre, Tyler, the Creator, Schoolboy Q and others. The show was live-streamed by Amazon Music as part of its “Forever the Influence” celebration for Black Music Month.

Lamar and Drake’s feud has escalated over recent months, with both trading diss tracks taking personal jabs at each other’s appearances, making accusations of impropriety, and claiming the other has secret children. While Drake seemed to call a truce with his track “The Heart Part 6,” Lamar’s new bar on “Euphoria” suggests the beef is far from over.

The concert’s fiery opener capped a major month for Kendrick that also saw his album “Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers” continue its streak atop the Billboard charts. With this fresh salvo, all eyes are now on if and how Drake will respond to reignite one of rap’s biggest feuds in years.
