BLACKPINK’s Jennie has teamed up with Beats by Dre for their latest product launch. The singer-rapper is showcasing her musical talents in a new campaign for the Beats Solo Buds wireless earbuds, released on Thursday, June 20, 2024.

In the promotional video, Jennie demonstrates her rap skills with lyrics that touch on empowerment and personal growth: “Taken for granted/ Taken for hostage / Carried the baggage/ Carried the past us,” she raps. “As luck would have it/ Future was written/ They didn’t plan for women to woman up.”

The Beats Solo Buds, retailing at $79.99, are being marketed as the company’s smallest earbuds to date. They offer up to 18 hours of battery life and come in four color options: Matte Black, Storm Gray, Arctic Purple, and Transparent Red. The earbuds feature dual-layer drivers designed to minimize distortion and maximize hi-fi sound quality.

Jennie expressed her enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “Music and self-expression are so important to me, so my collaboration with Beats was the perfect fit. I love my Beats Solo Buds. They’re so cute and portable and allow me to immerse myself in music everywhere I go.”

This partnership adds to Jennie’s growing list of brand collaborations, which includes work with major companies like Adidas and Calvin Klein. It also comes on the heels of her announcement last year about launching her own record label, OA, marking the beginning of her solo career alongside her activities with BLACKPINK.

The Beats Solo Buds are now available for purchase on Apple.com, Beatsbydre.com, and major retailers such as Best Buy and Amazon.
