iPhone 18 Pro Series Could Feature Next-Gen LTPO+ OLED Panels

Apple is reportedly developing LTPO+ display technology for its iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max models, aiming to improve efficiency and performance over the current LTPO panels.

Known for enabling dynamic refresh rates and the 120Hz ProMotion feature, LTPO+ is expected to refine these benefits further, though details are scarce.

Development depends on Apple’s suppliers, Samsung and LG, who would need significant R&D investment to produce the new panels.

Similar production challenges delayed Apple’s tandem OLED displays for iPads, raising concerns that LTPO+ might face similar setbacks. If delays occur, the iPhone 18 Pro models could stick with current LTPO displays.

With LTPO coming to all iPhone 17 models, LTPO+ could help re-establish the Pro lineup’s distinction, offering improved efficiency and features to justify the premium price.

However, with LTPO+ still in development, its future remains uncertain.
