Apple is set to release a new version of its cheapest iPad, the iPad 11, this spring. The entry-level tablet will get several upgrades after 2.5 years without a major refresh. Here’s what we can expect from the new iPad 11.
The iPad 11 will likely come with the A18 chip, giving it a performance boost over the older A14 chipset in the current model.
This upgrade will support Apple Intelligence features, such as notification summaries, Image Playground, Genmoji, the new Siri, and even ChatGPT.
If it launches this spring, Apple should have all these new features ready to use.
The iPad 11 will support newer connectivity standards, including Wi-Fi 6E or Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.3. These upgrades will improve internet speeds and reduce latency.
Cellular versions of the iPad may also feature Apple’s first 5G modems, allowing for faster data speeds.
Apple is also working on a new Magic Keyboard for the iPad 11. This will be a more traditional keyboard design, unlike the folio-style keyboard that the current iPad 10 uses.
This upgrade will make typing on the iPad more comfortable and efficient.
The iPad 11 is expected to launch this spring, around the same time as the new iPhone SE and iPad Air.
The design will be similar to the 2022 model, but with a speed boost and the new features mentioned above.
