Honor has launched its latest high-end smartwatch, the Watch 5 Ultra, featuring a durable titanium design, advanced health tracking, and built-in AI capabilities. The device is now available in China, starting at 1,999 yuan (approximately $275).
The Watch 5 Ultra is the first smartwatch in the industry to receive a five-star reliability rating from SGS, recognizing its resistance to shocks, corrosion, and scratches.
Key Features and Design
The smartwatch comes in three styles: Black Fluoroelastomer, Brown Leather, and Titanium, combining a stylish appearance with rugged durability. It features a 1.5-inch circular AMOLED display with a resolution of 466×466 pixels, protected by sapphire crystal glass rated at Mohs 9 hardness for high scratch resistance and visibility in sunlight.
The octagonal frame, inspired by spacecraft portholes, gives the device a bold and modern look.
Smart Features and AI Integration
Running on MagicOS and powered by Honor’s DeepSeek AI model, the watch includes the YOYO AI assistant, which offers smart notifications, real-time health insights, and contextual reminders.
The Tri-Chip Smart Control system helps balance performance and battery efficiency.
Health and Fitness Tracking
The Watch 5 Ultra is equipped with a full range of sensors, including:
- ECG and heart rate monitors
- Accelerometer and gyroscope
- Barometer and ambient light sensors
- Autonomic nervous system and cardiovascular risk monitoring
It supports 105 sports modes, including specialized options like bungee jumping, gateball, and freediving up to 40 meters, certified to EN13319 standards. The device is rated 5ATM and IP68, making it suitable for swimming and shallow water use.
Battery Life and Connectivity
Battery performance varies by usage:
- Up to 15 days without eSIM
- Up to 10 days when used with an Honor phone and eSIM
- Up to 3 days in full eSIM mode
The Watch 5 Ultra supports wireless charging, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC for contactless payments, and five satellite positioning systems: GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, and QZSS.
