A parody game called Grand Taking Ages 6 recently appeared on the PlayStation Store before being quickly removed.
The listing, which went live on December 7, 2024, had a description that poked fun at the long-awaited Grand Theft Auto 6, with an amusing game premise. According to the synopsis, players would run their own video game studio, handling chaotic fans, corporate drama, and endless delays.
The game promised to include “gaming conventions, ruthless journalists, and the art of creative excuses,” all with a release date set for May 2025.
The page also included fake reviews from major outlets like GameSpot, IGN, and PC Gamer, claiming to come from a parallel universe where the game was already out.
Additionally, there was a humorous dedication to players who didn’t live long enough to see the game’s release, alongside a joke about the non-existent PS6.
Although Grand Taking Ages 6 seemed like a potential indie title, it was clear that the game was just a joke. The developer listed, Violarte sp. z o. O., has a website full of fake games and awards, with AI-generated visuals and stock photos.
While it initially passed through PlayStation’s review system, the listing was removed soon after it caught attention.
This playful parody comes at a time when fans are eagerly awaiting Grand Theft Auto 6, which has yet to release a new trailer.
Rockstar Games confirmed the game is still on track for a Fall 2025 release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
