Google TV has expanded its free channel lineup to more than 1,100 channels since launching in early 2023. These channels are available through the “Live” tab on the Google TV homescreen.

The service includes:

  • Google’s Freeplay: About 160 channels
  • Partner channels from Pluto TV, Plex, HayStack News, and Tubi
  • International, Spanish language, and local channels

All channels are supported by ads and can be accessed for free. While some channels require downloading an app to watch, users can see the full program guide through the “Live” tab.

The service is currently only available in the United States, despite featuring content from other countries. Google plans to release a new Freeplay app soon to improve the service.

This marks significant growth from the initial 800 channels offered at launch.
