A new report suggests that Google’s upcoming Pixel 10 devices will feature the unannounced MediaTek T900 modem.

This marks a shift from previous Pixel models, which have used Samsung Exynos modems paired with the Tensor SoCs, customized versions of Samsung’s chipsets.

Next year, the Tensor G5 will be a fully Google-designed chipset, manufactured by TSMC, and it seems Google may be moving away from Qualcomm as its modem supplier in favor of MediaTek.

While details about the T900 modem remain scarce, its introduction in the Pixel 10 lineup could signal a change in strategy for Google, possibly due to MediaTek’s competitive pricing.

However, it’s unclear how the T900 will perform compared to Qualcomm’s latest offerings. Only time will tell if this shift proves advantageous for Google’s flagship devices.
