Google Drive Lets You Use Gemini Directly in Preview Without Extra Tabs

Google Drive has recently integrated Gemini into its overlay preview, making it easier to use AI without switching tabs.

This update allows users to skim PDFs and convert the information into actionable outputs like guides or drafts, directly within the Drive interface.

Previously, users had to open PDFs in a new tab to interact with Gemini, but now the AI is seamlessly embedded in the preview panel.

The new feature is available to Google Workspace users and requires smart features and personalization to be enabled by admins.

PDFs now open in the preview by default, but users can revert to the old method if preferred.

This update is rolling out to all eligible users, with full availability expected within three days.
