K-pop girl group GFriend, which disbanded in 2021, is set to reunite for a special album in celebration of their 10th anniversary.
The group will release Season of Memories on January 13 at 6 p.m., with a pre-release track arriving on January 6. In addition to the album, GFriend will hold a two-day solo concert at Olympic Hall in Songpa District, Seoul, on January 18 and 19.
The announcement came from GFriendโs former agency, Source Music, which described the album and concert as part of a larger project to honor the groupโs decade-long journey. The agency explained that the project aims to revisit GFriendโs many hit songs and memories with their fans, known as Buddy.
A teaser for the upcoming release was shared on the group’s official YouTube channel, featuring a clip of Me Gustas Tu, followed by a new logo and sparkling stars. The anticipation continues to build for this meaningful anniversary event.
GFriend debuted in 2015 with the EP Season of Glass, and quickly rose to fame with hits like Glass Bead, Me Gustas Tu, Rough, and MAGO.
After the group disbanded in 2021 following the expiration of their contract with Source Music, the members pursued individual careers. SinB, Eunha, and Umji formed the trio VIVIZ under Big Planet Made, while Yuju and Yerin ventured into solo projects, and Sowon pursued acting.
