Samsung’s new artificial intelligence system, Galaxy AI, aims to enhance everyday functionality, creativity, and security across its latest Galaxy devices.

Introduced alongside the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy AI brings a suite of innovative features that leverage AI to streamline communication, boost productivity, and unlock new creative possibilities for users.

Key Galaxy AI Features

  • Live Translate: Provides real-time audio and text translation during phone calls, enabling seamless communication across language barriers.
  • Interpreter: Translates conversations in split-screen, allowing users to talk to someone in-person while understanding them.
  • Chat Assist: Generates text conversations that match the user’s tone and content.
  • Note Assist: Creates summaries, templates, and cover art within the Samsung Notes app.
  • Transcript Assist: Transcribes, summarizes, and translates voice recordings.
  • Circle to Search: Allows users to search for anything on the screen by circling, highlighting, or tapping on an image or text.
  • Generative Edit: Uses AI to enable advanced photo editing capabilities, such as removing objects, resizing subjects, and generating new backgrounds.

Availability and Pricing

Galaxy AI features are currently available on the latest Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6, and Galaxy Z Flip6 smartphones, as well as the Galaxy Tab S9 tablets. Samsung has announced that these AI features will be provided for free until the end of 2025 on supported Galaxy devices, though different terms may apply for AI features provided by third-party partners.

While Galaxy AI is currently exclusive to Samsung’s newest flagship devices, the company has hinted that the technology will expand to more Galaxy devices in the near future.
