Rapper Future has announced his new album, titled The Real Me, following a week of speculation sparked by cryptic Spotify billboards across the United States.
The billboards, which appeared in cities including New York, Los Angeles, and Future’s hometown of Atlanta, displayed only the letters “T.R.M.” in thick black ink against a bright red background. The minimal branding led fans to guess it might be a teaser for artists such as Playboi Carti, Travis Scott, or even Tate McRae.
On Monday, Spotify and Future confirmed the acronym stands for The Real Me. A short video posted on Spotify’s social media channels revealed the album title through flashes of red, white, and black imagery with camera-shutter sound effects. The caption said the album is “coming soon,” but no release date, artwork, or tracklist has been released.
The album will be Future’s first solo project since Mixtape Pluto in 2024. It has been nearly two years since that release, during which time he has featured on tracks by Lisa, Young Thug, and The Weeknd. Earlier this year, he appeared on J. Cole’s The Fall-Off and reunited with Drake on the song “Ran To Atlanta” from Drake’s album Iceman.
Future also performed at the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup 2026 on June 12 in Los Angeles, alongside South African singer Tyla.
Representatives for Future have been contacted for further details about the album.
