Foo Fighters have reportedly canceled their planned summer 2025 tour, according to Hellfest founder Ben Barbaud.

Speaking to Le Parisien, Barbaud revealed that Muse had been brought in as a replacement headliner for the French festival after Foo Fighters pulled out.

Barbaud explained that Foo Fighters’ cancellation left a gap in Hellfest’s line-up, prompting Muse to step in as reinforcements.

The festival will feature Muse, Linkin Park, KoRn, and Scorpions as headliners, with other notable acts including Judas Priest, Cypress Hill, and Dream Theater.

Foo Fighters’ absence follows their 2024 tour in support of But Here We Are, with the band taking a step back after frontman Dave Grohl’s personal life was thrust into the spotlight.

Grohl recently revealed the birth of a new daughter and a personal struggle, leading to the band’s cancellation of their Soundside Music Festival slot.

The Foo Fighters currently have no scheduled live dates.
