Apple’s first foldable iPhone, expected in 2026, may not follow previous rumors of a Galaxy Z Flip competitor.
According to display analyst Ross Young, Apple’s foldable could actually take on the Galaxy Z Fold with a vertically hinged design.
This shift suggests that the device may run a modified version of iPadOS to leverage its larger screen for multitasking, unlike iOS, which lacks multi-window features.
However, Apple’s foldable plans remain uncertain, with the company reportedly facing challenges in ensuring the product meets its high durability standards.
As a result, Apple’s plans could still change over the next two years.
