Samsung has confirmed to Korean media that its Exynos 2500 chipset production yields are improving, after facing several months of challenges.
As a result, the company plans to equip both the Galaxy Z Flip7 and the Galaxy Z Flip FE (expected in 2025) with the Exynos 2500 SoC.
This move may be controversial, given the mixed reputation of Exynos chipsets in recent years, especially regarding performance and efficiency.
The report did not mention the Galaxy Z Fold7, which could indicate Samsung might choose a Qualcomm chip for the Fold series instead.
This makes sense, as the Z Fold line tends to cater to enthusiasts, and Samsung may want to avoid disappointing them with the Exynos 2500.
The Exynos 2500 was initially slated to debut with the Galaxy S25 series in January, but due to production issues, Samsung switched to Qualcomm chips for the S25 lineup.
However, with improved yields, the Exynos 2500 is now expected to feature in Samsungโs upcoming foldables.
