ElevenLabs now allows developers to create conversational AI agents. This new feature launched on their developer platform on Monday.
Users can customize the agents by adjusting the tone of voice, response length, and other settings. ElevenLabs offers templates to get started or lets users build projects from scratch. Developers can choose details like the agent’s primary language, first response, and system prompts to shape its personality.
To power the AI bot, users can pick large language models like Gemini, GPT, or Claude. They can also set the creativity of responses and control token usage limits.
For voice and interaction, developers can tweak latency, stability, and maximum conversation length. ElevenLabs supports adding knowledge bases such as files, URLs, or text blocks. It also allows integration with custom language models (LLMs).
The ElevenLabs software development kit (SDK) works with Python, JavaScript, React, and Swift. Additionally, a WebSocket API enables deeper customization.
Companies can collect customer data during calls, like names and emails, and evaluate the success of interactions. This feature helps businesses improve the performance of their AI bots.
ElevenLabs’ head of growth, Sam Sklar, said that some clients were already creating conversational agents using their tools. However, managing customer interruptions and integrating knowledge bases was challenging. The companyโs new system simplifies these processes.
This update makes it easier for developers and businesses to create smart, responsive conversational AI agents.
