“Nothing Was the Same” is the third album by the Canadian rapper Drake. It was released on September 24, 2013. However, the album leaked online a bit earlier on September 16th.
Drake worked on making this album throughout 2012 and 2013. He collaborated with other artists like 2 Chainz, Big Sean, Jay-Z, and Jhenรฉ Aiko who were featured guests on some songs. The production was primarily handled by 40 and other producers from OVO Sound.
Several singles were released to promote the album, including “Started from the Bottom,” “Hold On, We’re Going Home,” “All Me,” “Pound Cake,” and others. “Started from the Bottom” and “Hold On, We’re Going Home” were both top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The album received very positive reviews from critics and was considered one of the best albums of 2013 by multiple publications. It was a big commercial success, debuting at #1 on the Billboard 200 album chart with over 650,000 copies sold in the first week. It was also nominated for Best Rap Album at the 2014 Grammys.
