Drake may have unintentionally reignited his long-standing feud with Kendrick Lamar during a live stream with Adin Ross on Thursday.
The Toronto rapper was hosting a “Drizzmas” event, reading fan letters and giving away prizes, when he almost let a diss toward Kendrick slip.
While reading a fan letter aloud, Drake caught himself just in time, nearly saying “f— Kendrick” on air.
Fans are divided on whether it was a deliberate move to provoke Kendrick or a genuine slip-up, but the moment has sparked speculation that Drake might be trying to reignite the decade-long rivalry between the two.
Later in the stream, Drake quoted a line from Kendrick’s song Euphoria, which many believe was aimed at him: “When I see you stand by Sexyy Red, I believe you see two bad b——.”
Fans quickly noticed the reference, with some joking that Kendrick’s lyrics are “living rent free” in Drake’s mind. One user even commented, “He wanna lose the beef all over again.”
The two rappers have been feuding since 2013, with both releasing multiple diss tracks over the years, including Drake’s First Person Shooter and Kendrick’s Not Like Us.
In November, Drake filed a lawsuit against Universal Music Group and Spotify, accusing them of manipulating the viral success of Kendrick’s track Not Like Us, but the move backfired, only increasing the song’s popularity.
While the feud had cooled recently, Drake’s comments during the “Drizzmas” live stream have reignited speculation that the rivalry may be far from over.
Fans are now wondering if this latest slip-up will lead to more drama between the two Grammy-winning artists.
