The Disney+ animated series, “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man,” which follows Peter Parker’s first year of high school, has already been renewed for two more seasons.
Brad Winderbaum, head of streaming, television, and animation at Marvel Studios, revealed this news in an interview with The Movie Podcast.
Despite Season 1 not premiering until tomorrow, January 29th, Season 2 already has completed scripts and half of its animated storyboards finished. Season 3 has also received the green light.
Winderbaum expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating that he has fallen in love with the characters and is excited to see the story unfold.
“Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man” focuses on Peter Parker’s journey as he navigates high school while also grappling with his newfound superpowers.
It remains to be seen whether Season 2 will cover his sophomore year and Season 3 his junior year, or if Marvel plans to explore other aspects of Peter’s early adventures as Spider-Man.
