ChatGPT Canvas

OpenAI has upgraded its Canvas feature within ChatGPT, bringing smarter capabilities, better visuals, and more flexibility for users, especially developers.

Integration with the o1 Model

Canvas now works with the o1 model, known for its deliberative reasoning and problem-solving abilities.

This allows users to get more thoughtful and detailed interactions. However, the o1 model is available only to Pro, Plus, and Team users.

Code Visualization Enhancements

Canvas can now render React and HTML code directly within the workspace, enabling users to visualize their code in real time without needing separate testing tools. This feature is available even for free users.

macOS Desktop Users Benefit

For macOS users, Canvas is now fully integrated into the ChatGPT desktop app, enhancing the editing and collaborative experience without needing to leave the app.

These updates aim to make Canvas more of a developer’s tool than just a standard chat feature, supporting complex edits and specific tasks with ease.
