OpenAI ChatGPT

ChatGPT reached 3 billion visits in September 2024, solidifying its position as the most-used generative AI chatbot. The platform is now the 11th most-visited website globally.

Similarweb data shows ChatGPT significantly outperforming competitors. In September, it recorded 3.1 billion monthly visits, compared to Bing’s 1.7 billion and Google Gemini’s 275 million.

OpenAI’s annual revenues have exceeded $2 billion. The company joins elite Silicon Valley firms in rapid revenue growth, with 92% of Fortune 500 companies using its products.

The chatbot’s success follows its domain change from chat.openai.com to chatgpt.com in May 2024. It has since set multiple traffic records.

For context, Google.com receives 82 billion monthly visits, while YouTube.com gets 28 billion. ChatGPT has also surpassed Bing’s U.S. traffic for the first time.

The platform currently has 200 million weekly users, demonstrating its widespread adoption across businesses and individuals.
