BTS’ Suga will be questioned by Seoul police regarding an alleged drunk driving incident involving an electric scooter. The incident occurred on August 6, 2024, in the Hannam neighborhood.

Police found Suga lying on the ground at 11:27 p.m. with a blood alcohol content of 0.227 percent, well above the legal limit. The rapper admitted to drinking before riding the scooter but claimed he was unaware it was illegal.

The investigation will focus on whether Suga knowingly violated the Road Traffic Act. If found guilty, he could face up to five years in prison or a fine of up to 20 million won ($14,000).

This incident occurred while Suga was serving his mandatory military service as a public service worker, which he began in September 2023.
