Solar, the leader and powerhouse vocalist of K-pop group MAMAMOO, is set to hold a fan meeting in Chongqing on Saturday, August 23, 2025, marking a key moment in her growing solo presence across Greater China.
Titled Floating Free: 此时心动 (translated as “Moment of Heartbeat”), the event was announced by her agency RBW through their official X (formerly Twitter) account. This fan meeting celebrates her deepening connection with her Chinese fanbase, known as YONGSOON, and builds on the success of her Mandarin-language debut single, Floating Free.
Released on June 11, 2025, in collaboration with Taiwanese artist 9m88, the song soared to the #1 spot on Taiwan’s iTunes Top Songs chart and reached #2 on YouTube Music’s trending videos. A solo Mandarin version followed on July 4, with a Korean version and physical EP released on July 25, all demonstrating Solar’s commitment to multilingual, cross-cultural storytelling.
While full details such as the venue, ticket prices, and schedule are yet to be confirmed, RBW’s announcement included a promotional poster and ticketing link, indicating tickets are available via a Chinese platform.
Based on Solar’s previous Floating Free: Between concert in Taipei on June 22, which featured tiered ticket pricing and fan perks like photo ops and signed merchandise, fans can expect a similarly interactive experience in Chongqing.
This fan meeting also reflects a wider strategic push by RBW into the Chinese market, supported by partnerships with platforms like NetEase Cloud Music and the easing of China’s restrictions on Korean entertainment content earlier this year.
