BTS’ Jungkook has made history on Spotify. His debut solo album Golden has surpassed 5.5 billion streams, making it the first album by an Asian solo singer to achieve this feat.

Even more impressive, he reached this number in just 540 days, the fastest ever for an Asian artist’s studio album.

The album’s lead track “Seven” featuring Latto drove much of the success, pulling in over 2.3 billion streams, the highest ever for an Asian act. Another standout, “Standing Next to You,” followed with more than 1.1 billion plays.

Jungkook has now gathered more than 8.7 billion total streams on Spotify as a solo artist. His achievements have solidified him as a global music force, even while he is currently serving in the South Korean military.

He is expected to finish his service by June, along with four other BTS members, raising fan excitement for what comes next.
