    Asus ROG Phone 9 FE Debuts with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and 185Hz Display

    Asus has quietly launched the ROG Phone 9 FE in Thailand, expanding its gaming smartphone lineup.

    Priced at THB 29,990 (~$890/€857), this Fan Edition (FE) model is designed as a more affordable alternative to the ROG Phone 9 and ROG Phone 9 Pro, while still offering high-end gaming features.

    The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, ensuring top-tier performance. It comes with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage, making it well-equipped for demanding games and multitasking.

    The 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display features a 1080×2400 resolution, an impressive 185Hz refresh rate in Game Genie mode, and a peak brightness of 2,500 nits, delivering smooth visuals and enhanced gameplay. Protection is ensured by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

    For photography, the ROG Phone 9 FE includes a 50MP Sony IMX890 main sensor with gimbal OIS, providing excellent stabilization for action shots. It also features a 13MP ultrawide lens with a 120° field of view, a 5MP macro camera, and a 32MP front camera for high-quality selfies.

    The phone is backed by a 5,500mAh battery with support for 65W wired charging and wireless charging, ensuring extended gaming sessions without frequent recharges.

    Other notable features include dual stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint sensor, IP68 water and dust resistance, and a 3.5mm headphone jack, a rare addition in modern smartphones.

    Running on Android 15 with ROG UI, the ROG Phone 9 FE offers a streamlined and gaming-optimized software experience. While it shares its dimensions with the ROG Phone 9, it is 2g lighter, weighing 225g, and is available in Phantom Black.

    Now that the device has launched in Thailand, Asus is expected to roll it out in more markets soon. With its flagship-level performance, high refresh rate display, and powerful battery, the ROG Phone 9 FE is set to be a strong contender in the gaming smartphone market.
