Apple is reportedly working on an upgrade to its Vision Pro mixed reality headset, and it could arrive by the end of this year.

While the original Vision Pro has struggled with sales, Apple is already planning an incremental update to improve the device.

The new Vision Pro 2 will feature key changes, with components like panels, housings, and circuitry already in mass production. Some suppliers are said to be rushing to meet Apple’s orders for the new device.

Last year, Apple reduced production of the Vision Pro and plans to stop making it by the end of 2024. However, Apple has enough units to sell until the Vision Pro 2 launches.

According to reports, the Vision Pro 2 will have a new M5 chip, but physical design changes will be limited. This upgrade focuses mainly on the internal components, with the M5 chip likely being the most important improvement.
