Bad Monkey is returning for a second season on Apple TV+ after months of uncertainty.

The show, based on Carl Hiaasen’s books, became a hit when it premiered in August 2024. After the success of its first season, Apple TV+ has decided to bring it back for more episodes.

Bad Monkey Season 2 Is Confirmed

After a long wait, Apple TV+ has confirmed that Bad Monkey will return for a second season. The show’s success made this decision easy, but it wasn’t guaranteed.

The first season, which aired from August to October 2024, ended on a cliffhanger, setting up an exciting follow-up. Season 2 might adapt Hiaasen’s sequel novel, Razor Girl, but this has not been confirmed yet.

Bad Monkey Season 2 Cast Details

Vince Vaughn will return as Andrew Yancy, the detective-turned-health inspector. Yancy is a key character in the series, and his return is a highlight for fans.

Some other characters from season 1 may also return, including Natalie Martinez as Rosa, but many new faces are expected in the second season.

Bad Monkey Season 2 Story Details

While the story for season 2 hasn’t been confirmed, it is likely that it will be based on Razor Girl, a sequel to Bad Monkey. In this novel, Yancy is again the main character, solving a new mystery.

Hiaasen’s books often feature recurring characters, so the second season might follow a similar pattern. However, it’s also possible that the show will come up with a new story for Yancy and his team.

Fans are excited for what’s to come in Bad Monkey season 2, and while many details are still under wraps, it’s clear that the quirky mystery series will keep delivering the suspense and humor viewers loved in season 1.
