Apple to Release iPad 11 with A17 Pro Chip and More

Apple is set to refresh its entry-level iPad this spring. The iPad 11 will be the first update to the budget-friendly iPad in 2.5 years. Here are the three key upgrades to look forward to:

1. Apple Intelligence and A17 Pro Chip

The iPad 11 will likely feature the A17 Pro chip, the same processor used in the iPhone 15 Pro. This means it will support Apple Intelligence, Apple’s new AI-powered features.

Users can expect tools like notification summaries, Image Playground, Genmoji, and an improved Siri. ChatGPT integration will also be available.

2. Better Connectivity

The new iPad is expected to support Wi-Fi 6E (or Wi-Fi 7) and Bluetooth 5.3. This is an upgrade from the current model’s Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.

These improvements will offer faster speeds and lower latency. Additionally, cellular versions of the iPad 11 may include Apple’s first 5G modems.

3. New Magic Keyboard

Apple is reportedly working on a more affordable Magic Keyboard for iPads.

The iPad 11 could support this new keyboard, which will have a traditional design instead of the folio style used in the current model.

Release Date

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the iPad 11 will launch this spring alongside the iPhone SE and iPad Air.

The design will remain similar to the 2022 model, but it will get a significant performance boost.

The iPad 11 is expected to start at $349, the same price as the current model. Are you excited for the new iPad? Let us know in the comments!
