Apple has officially brought its redesigned Mail app to Mac and iPad with the release of macOS 15.4 and iPadOS 18.4 betas.

These updates introduce a refreshed interface and new inbox management features, aligning the experience with what iPhone users received in iOS 18.2 last year.

The most significant change is the new inbox categorization system, which automatically sorts emails into sections: Primary, Transactions, Updates, and Promotions. Users who prefer the traditional inbox layout can disable this feature.

Visually, the Mail app now highlights sender contact photos, similar to Apple’s Messages app, along with other subtle UI improvements.

Mac and iPad users can now experience these updates by installing the latest beta versions. The official public release is expected in the coming weeks.
