At the premiere of Another Simple Favor at the 2025 SXSW Film & TV Festival, Anna Kendrick was caught off guard when asked about Blake Lively’s ongoing legal battle with Justin Baldoni.
Responding with confusion and humor, Kendrick joked, “Why, what happened?” and added, “I did Ayahuasca in the last year of my life is just gone, but I’ve heard the movie is amazing.”
Lively’s legal drama has been a hot topic after she filed a lawsuit accusing Baldoni of sexual harassment and a smear campaign.
Baldoni has denied the allegations and countersued for defamation. Despite the legal turmoil, Lively made a public appearance at the event, joining Kendrick and director Paul Feig for the film’s premiere.
The sequel, Another Simple Favor, follows Kendrick’s character, Stephanie, and Lively’s Emily as they face betrayal and danger during a wedding in Italy.
The movie will be available for streaming on Prime Video starting May 1, 2025.
