AMD is gearing up for the launch of its Ryzen 9 9950X3D and 9900X3D CPUs, both featuring 3D V-Cache technology. These new processors, based on AMD’s Zen 5 architecture, are set to debut at CES 2025, with a market release expected in late January.

Designed for gaming enthusiasts, the chips promise significant performance gains and expanded overclocking capabilities.

The Ryzen 9 9950X3D is a 16-core, 32-thread processor boasting a massive 144 MB cache pool, combining 128 MB of L3 cache with 16 MB of L2 cache. Its sibling, the Ryzen 9 9900X3D, offers 12 cores and 24 threads, with a total cache of 140 MB.

These processors aim to build on the success of the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, which has been a top performer in the market since its release.

Though specific clock speeds and TDP values are yet to be confirmed, industry experts speculate a TDP range of 120W to 170W.

These CPUs are expected to deliver exceptional gaming efficiency and low power consumption, while maintaining the flexibility for multi-threaded workloads and overclocking.

With these launches, AMD strengthens its high-end lineup, aiming to outpace Intel’s Arrow Lake processors.

For gamers and creators looking for top-tier performance, these Ryzen 9 3D V-Cache CPUs could be the ideal choice in 2025.
