Fernando Alonso has been seen driving a rare Audi Sport Quattro in Monaco. The two-time Formula 1 world champion has been enjoying a very active winter break.
The Audi Sport Quattro is a 622-horsepower homologation special. Only 28 cars were ever made, and its value starts at $4 million. Alonso’s appearance in the car did not go unnoticed.
This is not Alonso’s first rare car sighting during the break. Recently, he was seen in a Mercedes CLK GTR and an Aston Martin Valiant, a track-focused road car limited to 38 units. He also added a new Aston Martin DBX S to his garage in December.
Alonso’s contract with Aston Martin keeps him racing in Formula 1 until at least the end of 2026. Despite this, he enjoys driving other brands and exploring classic and rare cars.
The Audi Sport Quattro is a Group B rally legend and is highly prized by collectors. Its powerful engine and limited production make it one of the most desirable cars from the era.
In Monaco, Alonso treated the streets as his personal shakedown lap, showing off both his driving skills and his taste in exclusive vehicles.
Fans have been impressed by Alonso’s varied car collection and his willingness to drive historic and modern supercars alike.
