Pink Floyd has earned its seventh U.K. No. 1 album with the debut of At Pompeii – MCMLXXII, marking the band’s first chart-topper since 2014’s The Endless River.

This success follows a recent re-release of their legendary concert film, Live at Pompeii, a 1971 recording of the band performing in the ancient Roman ruins.

The film, which has earned $6.5 million at the global box office, helped fuel the album’s success.

Pink Floyd’s journey to this milestone includes several iconic albums, starting with their first No. 1 in 1970 with Atom Heart Mother.

Despite the passing of decades, albums like The Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall have continued to resonate with fans, making At Pompeii – MCMLXXII their seventh chart-topping achievement.

The film’s soundtrack, which became available in multiple formats, including vinyl, contributed significantly to the album’s performance. Fans continue to flock to the band’s historic recordings, proving that Pink Floyd’s legacy endures as strongly as ever.
