Why Samsung’s One UI 7 Update is Taking Longer Than Expected

Samsung users waiting for the One UI 7 update will have to wait a bit longer, as the company has been slow in rolling out stable releases.

The first beta for the Galaxy S24 series debuted in December, but progress has been sluggish due to ongoing bug fixes.

One UI 7.1 Canceled Due to Delays

Samsung initially planned to release One UI 7.1 as a follow-up update, but due to the delayed release of One UI 7.0, the company has reportedly decided to scrap One UI 7.1 entirely.

This means that the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7 will launch with One UI 7.0.1 instead of One UI 7.1.

Stable One UI 7.0 Release Pushed to April

The stable One UI 7.0 update is now expected to launch alongside the Galaxy S25 Edge in April. This means Galaxy S24 and other supported Galaxy devices will likely receive the update at the same time.

Despite the delays, Samsung is expected to bring key One UI 7 features from the Galaxy S25 to older devices, including Audio Eraser and other AI-powered enhancements.

However, skipping One UI 7.1 suggests Samsung is prioritizing stability over adding new features before the full rollout is complete.

Users will have to wait a few more months before the stable One UI 7.0 reaches existing Galaxy phones, but the update promises refinements, bug fixes, and feature improvements when it finally arrives.
