IVE, one of K-pop’s rising stars, is preparing for a highly anticipated comeback with the release of its third EP, IVE EMPATHY, on February 3. To build excitement, the group will pre-release the album’s title track, “REBEL HEART,” on Monday.

Starship Entertainment, IVE’s agency, described “REBEL HEART” as a song that “portrays solidarity among rebels with different narratives.” The track promises to showcase the group’s signature confidence and a fresh musical style.

This comeback follows a nine-month hiatus since the release of their second EP, IVE SWITCH, in April 2024. The new album, delayed due to the tragic Jeju Air crash in December, reflects themes of emotional connection and versatility, as the title EMPATHY suggests.

IVE, consisting of members An Yu-jin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Won-young, Liz, and Leeseo, has gained a massive global following. Since October, the group has been on its first world tour, performing 37 concerts across 19 countries and attracting over 420,000 fans.

The group also made waves at major global music festivals, including Lollapalooza Chicago and Japan’s SUMMER SONIC 2024, solidifying their position as a leading fourth-generation K-pop act.

Fans eagerly await IVE EMPATHY and the message it will deliver, further cementing IVE’s reputation as a cultural icon in the K-pop world.
