dCS Varèse - World’s Most Advanced Audio System

Cambridge-based dCS has revealed the Varèse, a groundbreaking digital audio system costing $305,000. The system excludes speakers and amplifiers, which must be purchased separately.

Founded in 1987, dCS began by creating radar signal systems before becoming pioneers in digital audio. The company introduced the first hi-res 24-bit audio DACs in the 1990s and continues to lead in high-end digital sound.

The Varèse, a five-box streaming DAC, surpasses the company’s previous flagship product, the Vivaldi APEX DAC. It features advanced proprietary technologies developed entirely by dCS, ensuring unparalleled audio quality.

The Varèse system will be publicly demonstrated for the first time on November 29-30 at HiFi Lounge in Bedfordshire, UK. Spaces for the event are limited, and attendees can reserve by emailing [email protected].

Shipping for the Varèse begins by the end of 2024. While few can afford its price, audiophiles may want to hear the sound quality it promises to deliver.
