Next Samsung Flip Phones to Use Exynos Chips

Samsung plans to release two folding phones next year – the Z Flip FE and Z Flip7. New reports tell us what chips these phones will use.

The Z Flip FE will be a cheaper version of Samsung’s folding phone. It will use an Exynos 2400e chip. This is the same chip in this year’s Galaxy S24 FE phone, which works well for everyday use.

The more expensive Z Flip7 will use a new chip called the Exynos 2500. This is a big change from the Z Flip6, which uses a Snapdragon chip.

This change is interesting because other reports say Samsung’s S25 phones will use Snapdragon 8 Elite chips. This suggests Samsung might save its own Exynos 2500 chips for its folding phones.

Some people say Samsung is having trouble making enough Exynos 2500 chips. This could explain why they’re using them only in folding phones.

The Z Flip FE’s use of the Exynos 2400e makes sense as Samsung tries to make a less expensive folding phone that more people can buy.
