Google Gemini

Gemini for Android has been updated to make file analysis more convenient. Now, the app supports the Android share sheet, allowing users to share files from any app directly to Gemini for AI-powered analysis.

This streamlines the process, eliminating the need to open the Gemini app manually and search for files.

With this update, you can now upload up to ten files at once for analysis, making it even easier to handle multiple documents in one go.

The supported file types for analysis include:

  • Plain text: TXT
  • Code files: C, CPP, PY, JAVA, PHP, SQL, HTML
  • Documents: DOC, DOCX, PDF, RTF, DOT, DOTX, HWP, HWPX (including Google Docs)
  • Tabular data: CSV, TSV
  • Spreadsheets: XLS, XLSX (including Google Sheets)

This change is part of the Gemini v1.0.686588308 update, improving the overall user experience by allowing for a smoother, faster way to analyze files directly from the share sheet without needing to open and close multiple apps.
