Bluesky has seen rapid growth, with nearly 1 million people joining the platform daily over the past week, according to CEO Jay Graber.

This surge in users comes as people leave Elon Musk’s X, driven by dissatisfaction with its “toxic” content environment.

Graber emphasized Bluesky’s focus on trust, safety, and fostering a fun and creative space for users. She highlighted the platform’s unique approach, allowing users to subscribe to different feeds based on their interests, similar to magazine subscriptions.

Bluesky aims to create a space free from bots and harassment, providing a healthy environment for discussions and diverse opinions.

Founded with the help of former X CEO Jack Dorsey, Bluesky opened to all users in February 2024.
