Xreal has just announced the Beam Pro, a compact Android tablet designed to be the ultimate companion for their augmented reality (AR) glasses.

This powerhouse device packs a serious punch with its Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor, up to 8GB RAM, and 256GB storage. The 6.5-inch 90Hz LCD display promises buttery smooth visuals.

However, the true standout is the dual 50MP rear cameras capable of capturing immersive 3D video. This content can then be seamlessly transferred to Xreal’s AR glasses for a truly captivating augmented experience.

    Seamless AR Integration

The Beam Pro is purpose-built to integrate seamlessly with Xreal’s AR eyewear. By connecting the tablet, users can access apps, browse the web, and view 3D content directly through the AR interface. The powerful hardware ensures a responsive AR experience, even with demanding applications.

    Versatile Software and Connectivity

Running Android 14, the Beam Pro provides access to the full Android app ecosystem to further enhance AR capabilities. Connectivity options include dual USB-C, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and microSD support up to 1TB.

    Pricing and Availability

The Xreal Beam Pro offers several configurations:

    • WiFi: 6GB+128GB for $180, 8GB+256GB for $220
    • 5G: Coming later in 2024 for $280
    • Enterprise model: $420 with additional business features

The Beam Pro launches in China on May 31st, with details on US/EU availability expected at the Augmented World Expo on June 18th.
